Toyota has broadened the Land Cruiser brand's appeal with a new electric concept at the 2023 Japan Mobility Show.
Christened as the Land Cruiser Se, the three-row electric SUV with monocoque construction gets a stylish design while offering high-torque driving performance. The monocoque body is a departure from the ladder-frame structure synonymous with the Land Cruiser lineage.
The Land Cruiser Se concept previews a futuristic three-row SUV whose styling represents a departure from the current Land Cruisers. It gets an angled bonnet, a slopped roof, a closed grille, horizontal strip lights and modernized mirrors. Toyota promises a comfortable cabin space when driving in urban areas and other on-road situations.
The Land Cruiser Se has a dimension of 5150mm x 1990mm x 1705mm and a wheelbase of 3050mm. Meanwhile, the gas-powered Land Cruiser 300 has a wheelbase of 2850mm. The extra wheel space is to accommodate the battery.
The EV Land Cruiser will be put into production in the near future.
